Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Buyer Assistant. The hourly rate for this position is $21.52 - $25.15 per hour. What you'll do: FUNCTION PRINCIPAL: Monitor Operational situations affecting all Beaver Plant, including daily monitoring with their Supply Chain Managers, and purchasing teams, as well as monitoring the suppliers involved with the objective of avoiding the impact on sales, as well as situations market level, giving visibility to the Beaver Supply chain team, it is required to physically visit the affected plants and suppliers depending on whether the operational impact warrants it. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Work as liaison between plant and supplier by monitoring material shortage reports that could impact sales. * Update reports for Production and Operations * Communicate daily critical materials and their status to the Buyers/Planners. * Send monthly forecast to suppliers. * Enter and maintain Purchase orders * Update PO acknowledgements, and due dates * Maintain Supplier KPI's * Ensure data integrity 2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): 1. Attend all Safety, Health and Environment training that is assigned. 2. Comply with 5S/MESH requirements. 3. Responsible for ensuring safety regulations as well as the policies established by Eaton. 4. Non-compliance with safety procedures may lead to minor accidents and/or injuries depending on the functions. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: * At least 1 year of Supply Chain Experience * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Preferred qualifications: * Associates Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management * Two years or more experience in Supply Chain * Previous experience in roles such as materials or purchasing assistance * Previous use of AS 400 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Position Criteria: * Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently or within a team * Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.
