Here is what you need to know about the job: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising/Administrative Intern to join our Miles team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the merchandising field, providing support to our Merchandising team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Start Date: July or August 2024 Duration: 6 months Hourly Rate: 15.00 per hour Location: Chicago, IL Key Responsibilities: * Proactively organize merchandise samples. Coordinate and distribute incoming/outgoing samples to/from factory and customer until production, including various mailing and packaging needs. * Provide support and suggestions to supervisors; actively participate in review meetings, including edits, pre-costing, and post-season review. * Assist the merchandising team with day-to-day tasks, including product research, sample organization, and data entry. * Support the office team with administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, and coordinating meetings. * Help maintain inventory records and manage product samples. * Prepare reports and presentations for merchandising meetings. * Support our customer and overseas sourcing teams in the product development process from concept to shipment for categories including, but not limited to: Apparel, Footwear, Pet, Outdoor, Camping, Home Textiles, Décor, Furniture, Kitchen, and Household. * Manage and organize office supplies, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained. Qualifications: * Currently pursuing a degree in Merchandising, Business, or a related field. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. * Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or office administration is a plus but not required. * Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism. #lifung If this sounds like you, Apply Now!
