Job Description Location Profile: Klune Industries was founded in 1972 in Southern California. More than forty years later, Klune Industries is a preferred supplier to the aerospace and defense industries offering end-to-end solutions for aerospace and defense including sheet metal forming, machining, and assemblies. Klune Industries was acquired by Precision Castparts Corp. in August, 2012. Position Summary: Fall 2024- The Project Management Intern will play a vital role in supporting the management of complex projects from initiation to completion. This role encompasses responsibilities ranging from project coordination, communication, and strategic planning. In addition, the intern will assist in administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and preparing internal traveler packets, as well as engaging in basic production control tasks. The intern will gain exposure to various aspects of project management and operational processes within the organization. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Collaborate with project teams to facilitate project planning and execution. * Assist in maintaining effective communication between project stakeholders. * Support the collection and analysis of project-related data to drive informed decisions. * Participate in the preparation and presentation of project updates and reports. * Aid in the creation of project timelines, task lists, and milestone tracking. * Help organize and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear goals and tracking of tasks. * Contribute to the negotiation of project terms and agreements with clients. * Assist in managing customer relationships and addressing inquiries. * Engage in basic production control tasks to support project deliverables. * Perform administrative duties such as scanning, filing, and organizing documents. * Prepare internal traveler packets for project-related activities. * Contribute to maintaining adherence to master plans and schedules. * Assist in verifying the conformity of client requests with contractual agreements. * Participate in configuration control checks and maintain revision records. * Collaborate with teams to create comprehensive work order packages. * Provide support in validating engineering packages for accuracy. * Participate in ramp-down activities for projects, including asset disposition. Required Skills: * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel. * Ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities concurrently. * Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and organization. * Basic understanding of project management concepts and tools. * Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. * Adaptability and willingness to learn and take on new tasks. * Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder interactions. * Basic knowledge of administrative and production control tasks. * Eligibility to work for U.S. government contractors and subcontractors. * Availability to work weekends when necessary. Required Experience: * Prior experience or coursework related to project management is a plus. * Familiarity with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and document organization. Level of Education: * Pursuing a degree in Business, or a related field. * Enrolled in an accredited academic program. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.00 to $24.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
