Requisition ID: 172523 Job Level: Director Home District/Group: Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers Department: Quality Market: Transportation Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) District is seeking a District Quality Director to lead and oversees KIE District Quality team. He/she will be responsible for the overall quality standards, development, and implementation to align with corporate quality standards, policies, operational procedures, practices, and services. As District Quality Director this role will be responsible to continuously observe and analyze quality data records to intervene with new or adjusted quality control measures to address habitual or newly discovered areas of service or performance deficiencies to improve quality. District Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Location This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO location. Responsibilities * Provided strategic planning for the organization and preparation for upcoming contract. * Manage and oversee KIE's quality process and standards as it pertains to all aspects of design engineering to ensure project teams and approaches align with customer expectations and contract requirements to optimize time, cost and quality constraints. * Oversee the development, implementation, improvement and monitoring of quality processes and procedures to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications. * Promote and maintain effective communications and relations with district management, project management teams, authorized inspectors and engineer or client as required. * Coordinate quality control staffing needs on projects and assign qualified personnel. Work with other districts as needed to share resources. * Assist project teams in setting up the quality department and preparing for project kick-off and pre-job planning meetings. Assist in identifying the proper Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's), checklists, and other documentation for the project. * Support project teams in the development and implementation of project quality plans and supplemental procedures as needed. * Facilitate resolution of issues by working with Project Quality Managers and Project Managers. * Oversee quality assurance and control compliance for design build projects Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or greater in Civil or other applicable Engineering with a focus across various infrastructure projects. * Licensed Professional Engineer with ability to obtain in other states as the project may require. * Quality certifications such as ASQ| CMQ/OE, CSSBB, CQE or CQA is a plus * 15+ years of years of quality assurance and quality control related experience with at least 5+ of these years in a Design Manager type of role/position with project management responsibility on U.S. large complex multidisciplinary projects more than $250 million * At least 10 years' experience developing and implementing design, construction and engineering services during construction (ESDC) quality management programs in Infrastructure and transportation related area * Must have experience and familiarity of department of transportation quality codes and requirements with the customers * Prior experience of managing and leading quality and/or engineering design team * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Effective organizational and time management skills * Effective analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to work independently or as part of a team * Ability to travel to project/client sites and as business necessitate Other Requirements: * Regular, reliable attendance * Work productively and meet deadlines timely * Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment * Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. * Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
