Responsible for providing the technical oil & gas reserve analysis and evaluation summaries to the Energy Finance Department and Executive Management Team in support and development of the Bank's Energy Portfolio. Responsibilities: * Provide technical reviews of reserve-based credit facilities, ensuring the parameters conform to the Bank's underwriting criteria. Prepare other reports as directed by members of the Bank's Executive Management Team and the Energy Finance Manager. May be directed to respond to document requests from internal and external auditors/examiners. * Assist Energy Finance personnel in maintaining and servicing the existing Energy Portfolio and developing new business. Review requests for new loans and provide recommendations for the need and scope of further evaluation. * Review customer and third-party engineering reports, validating that they conform to the Bank's technical guidelines by following established policies, practices, and procedures. * Prepare internal engineering and economic evaluations, documenting the results in memorandums that summarize the resulting values, material risks, key assumptions, and upside potential. * Maintain broad knowledge of market trends, incorporating such to assist the Bank in establishing its internal economic parameters. * Provide technical advice, support, and counsel as needed to Bank management, commercial lending staff, Energy Finance customers, and prospects. Qualifications: Education Requirements * Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and 8+ years of experience in petroleum engineering with an emphasis on reservoir analysis and economic evaluations * Master of Science or other advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering, preferred * 5+ years of experience with a bank or other financial institution working in the economic evaluation process, preferred Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities * Strong knowledge of oil & gas drilling, completion, and production operations. * Strong knowledge of hydrocarbon products gathering, processing, transportation, and marketing processes. * Proficiency with standard oil & gas industry economic software (e.g. Aries, PHDWin, DrillingInfo) as well as Microsoft Office applications. * Proficiency with Financial Statement and Lease Operating Statement analysis, Petroleum Resources Management System (PRMS) designations, and SEC oil & gas reporting requirements. * Strong technical writing, communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
