AmeriCorps VISTA Family & Health Volunteer Coordinator The UA Wildcat Corps VISTA project aims to empower low-income communities in Arizona by addressing critical poverty-related challenges through community-driven solutions. It will build on and leverage the capacity of Cooperative Extension to empower low-income communities by developing a volunteer recruitment, training, and management program focused on key areas including Financial Literacy Education, Parenting and Early Childhood Support, and Nutrition Security. Our approach is designed to involve the community at every stage, to ensure long-term sustainability, and to ultimately help lift individuals out of poverty. This is a state level position that will work with counties & tribal communities throughout Arizona. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here. Member Duties : Develop strategic plans of action that address current and future needs and potential growth opportunities to expand the scope and reach of family, consumer and health science programming. Research, develop, and implement workshops for professional development of volunteers. Coordinate events to recognize volunteer achievements. Pursue grant writing and other means of resource development to support volunteer programming. Network with relevant community organizations. Attend community events to promote volunteering and build community partnerships. Support data collection and reporting.
