The Leasing Agent is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for prospective and future tenants. Responsibilities: * Fields and responds to leasing inquiries from prospective tenants. Works to persuasively present information to prospects on housing properties to create applications. * Negotiates lease offers; executes and explains leases and related documents to future tenants. Performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize housing occupancy. * Works with underwriting and leasing writing teams to channel applicants through the leasing process. Maintains up to date knowledge of Company policies and procedures. Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. * Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required. * State Real Estate License required. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required. * Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, planning and analysis skills. * Strong relationship management, organizing and customer service skills. * Able to meet multiple deadlines. * Able to maintain confidentiality. * Able to implement process improvement changes. * Able to work in a team environment. * Able to pay close attention to details. * Able to adapt and flex to a changing environment. * Able to lift 20 pounds.
