Title: HR Consultant (HR Analyst II) Agency: Laurel Ridge Community College Location: Frederick - 069 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $67,186.00-$82,303.00. Salary will commensurate with competencies and experience. Full Time or Part Time: Full Time Additional Detail Job Description: Develop and deliver a comprehensive program of human resource, payroll, and equity services to the employee population, college management, and the general public. Duties include but are not limited to: Adheres to human resources policies, rules, practices, and laws. Ensures the workplace is administered equitably and innovatively while keeping with State, VCCS, and college requirements and needs. Will develop and deliver HR, Payroll, and Equity services to a world-class diverse cadre of faculty, staff, and administrators focused on equity-minded principles and practices in service of inclusive excellence and student success. The HR Consultant is responsible for aligning college objectives with faculty, staff, and administrators in designated institutional units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver HR and Payroll services. The consultant maintains an effective level of literacy about the college and division(s) goals, its culture, and its contribution to the college mission. The HR Consultant will foster excellence and equity across all dimensions of the College's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. Compensation and Benefits The hiring range for this position is $67,186.00-$82,303.00. Salary will commensurate with competencies and experience. Minimum Qualifications: * HR Knowledge and Expertise: Advanced understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations. * Employee Relations: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees and management. * Recruitment and Staffing: Demonstrated proficiency in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes. * Communication: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to different audiences. * Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make sound decisions. * Ethical Practice: Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity. * Project Management: Ability to coordinate resources, timelines, and colleagues effectively. * Ability to promote an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture. Preferred Qualifications: * Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruitment, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws preferred. * Considerable related work experience in human resources or similar preferred. * Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of human resources principles and practices for recruitment, selection, training, employee relations, and compliance including, but not limited to Equal Employment Opportunity, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Fair Labor Standards Act preferred. * Demonstrated experience and commitment to the delivery of high quality, equity, and inclusion initiatives that achieve established goals preferred. * SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRMSCP) or equivalent credential preferred.
