Summary/Objective NextEdge is looking for experienced Tower Technicians to join our growing team. The qualified applicant will learn and perform all aspects of new tower and communication site construction, modifications and maintenance of existing structures, lighting systems, radio equipment, antennas and RF transmission lines. NextEdge holds all of its employees to a high level of safety awareness and quality standards Essential Functions * Perform tower construction activities including assembling/erecting towers, installing antennas, mounting hardware, installing coax and connectors, grounding, testing, positioning, and optimizing antennas and lines. * Work with basic hand tools and safety equipment. Telecom test gear knowledge a plus. * Assist with testing of new and existing equipment. May include sweep, PIM, or fiber testing. * Ability to take and understand written and verbal direction. * Ability to travel and work in remote locations outside of the metropolitan area. * Maintain OSHA safety requirements at all times. * Installation of RF and antenna system components such as antennas, TMA's, RRU's, diplexers, coax, hybrids, grounding, supports, weatherproofing, connectors, hardware, etc.) * knowledge and experience of major carrier sites including upgrades, MODS, NSB, Electrical, Civil, DAS, Small Cells, etc. * Understanding and ability to process RFDS and read construction drawings. Total Rewards * Zero cost employee only benefits * 401k match * 10 days PTO * 10 Company Holidays * Monthly cellphone allowance Education and Experience * Tower Hand <1 Year of Experience * Tower Technician 1-3 Years * Foreman Role  3-5+ Years Technical requirements * Have knowledge of and ability to meet and pass all DOT requirements * Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawing and support documentation, RF data sheets, and basic electrical concepts. be able to communicate both verbally and electronically. * Current Commtrain certification is desired but not mandatory.  TTT1 or TTT2 certifications a plus. * Current First Aid AED/CPR certification is required to have or obtain within 90 days of employment. * Current RF awareness Certification required to have or obtain within 90 days of employment. * OSHA 30 hour certification is required to have or obtain within 90 days of employment. Work Environment * Ability to work in all weather conditions except for unsafe or extreme weather conditions. Physical Demands Desire and ability to climb structures to heights in excess of 300' while carrying loads in excess of 50 pounds.
