In this position... Controls Applications Engineer is responsible to design, develop, validate and release parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs. The D&R is also responsible to look for design improvements to increase quality and cost / weight optimization. Senior PD Engineer What you'll do... * Design/Package exhaust emissions sensors such as Oxygen sensors such as UHEGO & CMS, EGTs (Exhaust gas temperature), and GPSA (Gas pressure sensor assemblies). * Package Powertrain controls modules such as PCM, TCM, TCCM among others (Package them as direct mount or design a new bracket). * Design brackets as required for sensors and modules. * Track and meet thermal components requirements and status of sensors and modules. Modify design if required to protect components. * Lead sourcing activities and provide sourcing packages during early stages of the program. * Lead technical design reviews with SME. * Lead Quality/FMA documents. * Maintain FEDEBOM with accurate cost, weight, lead time, among other information. * Manage engineering changes; Design Change Requests (DCR), Program cost approvals, FEDEBOM, CMF, WERS, Change Control, Alerts, etc. * On-site Support for different vehicle builds (BOM validation, breadboards, NMPDC, DCV, TT, PP, and through J1 and OPD).
