The Occupational Health Manager is responsible for overseeing the health and safety programs for the organization. Primarily focusing on the success of Workers Compensation (WC) Claims management, Safety and Health related training processes, and various Occupational Health related programs. Supports the overall objectives of the EHS strategic business plan, aids in coordination to all business units and assists with regulatory compliance for applicable health and safety regulations at federal, state, and local levels. What you'll be doing: * Oversees successful management of workplace incident & injury cases that require claims support as the backup contact for Greenheck Group team members, healthcare providers, brokers, and our Worker's Compensation Insurance Carrier. Provides quarterly status reports to key stakeholders. * Ensures early return to work options are being initiated whenever possible preventing loss time cases by coordinating options for team members between involved parties, partners with total rewards benefits team on fit for duty cases and may be involved in personal leave assessments. * Oversees administration and relationships with third party partner vendors for annual hearing conservation program audiometric testing, respiratory protection program, substance abuse testing program and prescription safety glass eyewear program. * Owns Occupational Health relationships with all local/regional partner clinics and medical providers to ensure they best understand Greenheck Groups medical management approaches regarding post injury return to work and treatment. * Ensures good working relationships with Insurance Carriers & understands when subrogation recoveries are possible by appropriately engaging involved parties at the right time. * Oversees OSHA recordkeeping within internal system of record, Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting, monthly data management and revisions which results in accurate annual OSHA log submissions. * Assists with the investigation of incidents and ensure CAPA's are supported to minimize future exposures to prevent reoccurring incidents and ensure proper records/documents are maintained within system of record. * Handles confidential matters pertaining to employee injuries & incidents as well as reviews supportive medical file information related to causation, work-relatedness, identifies questionable claims, collaborates with peers in investigations, approves records reviews and assists with information to accurately formulate work-relatedness opinions on behalf of Greenheck Group. * Supports development and delivery methods for applicable Health & Safety training materials. * Assists Regional EHS Managers for ad hoc projects and support with regulatory agencies (OSHA/BLS, etc.), assists with revisions of applicable Greenheck Group EHS policies, procedures, and practices. * Serves as secondary or tertiary contact for regulatory agencies as determined necessary. * Keeps informed of relevant Occupational Health law or regulation changes. * Collaborates with EHS & Total Rewards Benefits teams regarding injury loss drivers and assists with supporting appropriate hierarchy of controls to effectively manage BU associated incurred costs. What you should have: * 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in EHS, Risk Management, Occupational Health, Nursing or related sciences required. * 8-10 years of relevant work experience in occupational health required. * 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory or managerial role required. * Valid driver's license and safe driving record required. * Experience working independently, or under direction, with local & state regulatory agencies required. * Knowledge of jurisdictional laws related to Occupational Heath required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident/injury case management Cloud-based applications required. * Role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. * OHST, ARM, AIC, RN, CSP or ASP designations preferred. * Knowledge of EHS systems and practices along with OSHA regulations and practices required. We think you should know: * Travel is required 10-25% of time. * On occasion, be on call and/or work outside normal business hours.
