David Weekley Homes is seeking residential Drafters to join our Orlando Design Team. We are considering Drafters with varying degrees of architectural design experience who will play a key role in the development of product for our Mid-Atlantic and Florida markets. Responsibilities include: * Develop site drawings noting house location on lot * Develop construction documents for permitting and starts * Revise architectural plans as marked and thoroughly coordinates all sheets that are affected by any changes * Interaction with field team members for projects under construction * Ensure established deadlines are met * Facilitate problem solving with fellow team members and City Coordinator Qualifications * Bachelor's or Associates degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Architectural Drafting, or closely related field * Entry-level candidates must have completed a degree program in one of the above fields * Experienced candidates will have 3+ years professional drafting/design experience, residential design experience strongly preferred * Proficiency in AutoCAD software required. Revit experience strongly preferred * Knowledge of residential plans and construction drawings preferred * Works well under time constraints * Solid written and verbal communication skills * Service-oriented mindset with a team player attitude * An ideal candidate will also possess the following essential soft skills: excellent time and project management, highly organized, problem-solving abilities, work with a sense of urgency, detail-oriented, maintain project flexibility and the ability to adapt as needed Additional Information .
