The primary responsibility of this position is to bridge the language barrier, ensuring that Spanish speaking English Learners have equal access to educational opportunities and resources. Qualifications: * HS diploma or equivalent is required * Demonstrated written and spoken fluency in both English and Spanish * Previous experience as a translator/interpreter preferred * Familiarity with educational technology and content across various areas * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders * Knowledge and understanding of diverse learning needs and abilities, with the ability to adapt communication strategies to meet individual student/family needs * Highly organized with excellent time management skills, capable of managing own schedule and prioritizing tasks effectively * Technology literate in Word, Excel, and google * Ability to work independently or as part of a team demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, may require evenings * Must complete the LIU Interpretation/Translation Certification Program Terms: Full-time, 188 days/year, 8 hrs/day Salary: Starting at $28.50/hr plus excellent benefits * The LIU offers a generous benefits package to full-time employees, including: * Medical (for a nominal premium), dental and vision insurance.
