Description The Jordan Valley Ice Park with the Parks Department is looking for a Community Sports Coordinator to join the team. The Sports Coordinator's main responsibility is to supervise front line staff. This is a full-time, year-round position. The Sports Coordinator will office at Jordan Valley Ice Park and will assist with facility duties as assigned. About theJordan Valley Ice Park Jordan Valley Ice Park is located in downtown Springfield and features two indoor NHL-size ice rinks for public skating, figure skating and hockey. Recreational and competitive ice sports can be found at the Ice Park providing perfect entertainment for individuals or families.Enjoy open ice skating, figure skating, or join a hockey team (lessons and leagues available for all ages). Qualifications and Requirements Experience, Education, and Training * Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Business or a closely related area; AND * One year of experience in developing and supervising recreational programs; * Directly related experience in developing and supervising in related program areas may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Licensing/Certification * Certified Parks & Recreation Professional (CPRP) is desirable. * Sports specific certifications are also desirable. * If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
