Job Opportunity: Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Analyst-Product Owner in our Stevens Point, WI office. As a BSA/Product Owner you will work as part of a nimble Agile team, contributing to both small and large-scale initiatives that impact product lines and areas within our Travel Insurance business. You'll work closely with the technical team, user experience and business stakeholders from marketing, operations, sales, service, and claims. This role will be accountable for understanding the product vision, business requirements, system processing implications and data needs for the product you will support. We are looking for someone who loves change, asks great questions, and is passionate about solving customer and business problems. Duties & Responsibilities: * Requirements Elicitation and Analysis - Identify stakeholders and facilitate discussions or workshops with the purpose of eliciting and understanding stakeholder needs, requirements, and priorities * User Story Creation - Working from the features and needs defined by the business and informed by the product vision, map out and document User Stories that describe the scope of the project * Requirements Documentation - For each User Story, document the detailed functional/non-functional requirements, including supporting workflows, screen shots and other documentation * Prioritization and Backlog Refinement - Provide direction and collaborate with the business on prioritization and refine the backlog for the product(s) you support * Roadmap Management - Maintain the roadmap for the product(s) you support * Create documentation such as workflow diagrams, design/report mock-ups, and other artifact/visuals as needed * Clarify questions from the development/QA teams with regards to intended usage of the software, definition of business terms and processes * Represent the voice of the customer (internal/external) and become an expert in the business processes and software applications used within the domain that you support Qualifications, Skills and Experience: * 2+ years' experience performing Agile Business Analysis tasks * Working knowledge of Agile work management tools. Ex: Jira/Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, Trello * Experience with a diagramming tool and various diagrams. Ex: flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, concept models, use case diagrams, user story mapping, mind maps * Quick learner with ability to adapt to changing environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, subject matter experts and vendor resources * Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with keen attention to detail * The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions BHSI Offers: * A competitive package and exciting growth opportunities for career-oriented teammates * A dynamic, action oriented, and thoughtful environment centered on always doing the right thing for our customers, teammates and our other stakeholders * A purposely non-bureaucratic organization that embraces simplicity over complexity and emphasizes individual excellence in a team framework NOTE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
