: 07/23/2024 $16.73 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/River House & Catherine Schweinsberg-Rood Central Library. Part-time/25 hours per week. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings and weekends. Performs experienced paraprofessional library work planning and presenting programs, events, and classes for a variety of ages and abilities at the River House and the Catherine Schweinsberg-Rood Central Library. This position is responsible for coordinating programs and services in the Youth Services section of the library, the Creative Lab, and the Mobile Library and may assist in other sections of the library as needed. In addition, this position assists the public with the use of computers to conduct database and Internet searches, printers, library-related services on mobile phones and eReaders, and assisting with various library programs. May provide direction to other staff members and/or volunteers. REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of two (2) years of college coursework in any field at an accredited college or university [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year]; OR two (2) years of library or customer service experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
