About the Employer San Luis Coastal Unified School District represents the communities of Avila, Edna Valley, Los Osos, Morro Bay, and San Luis Obispo and currently has an enrollment of approximately 7,500 students. We will be creating a sub list for the 2024/25 School Year. A CURRENT valid CA teaching credential or sub permit is REQUIRED. If you don't have a sub permit you can apply for one through SLOCOE and apply after it is issued. Interviews will be tentatively held the 2nd week of August. HIring for subs will be about once a month during the school year. 30 Day Permits are being accepted along with full credentials; however, our focus is full credentials, especially in Special Education. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and TB test after offer of employment. Must enjoy working with children.
