Care of children with congenital heart disease is therefore essential to our mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate, accessible, high-quality care for the children and families of our community. The Heart Center offers a wide range of services including management of patients requiring complex congenital heart surgery, interventional catheterization and invasive electrophysiology. Responsibilities * Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Heart Center * Collaborate with the Co-Director and multidisciplinary teams to advance innovative approaches to pediatric cardiac care * Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous quality improvement within the Heart Center * Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, quality of care and the patient/family experience. * Mentor and support the professional development of faculty, staff and trainees. * Support the recruitment and retention of top-tier faculty and trainees to promote academic advancement. * Work in partnership with the Heart Center Administrative Director and Heart Center Co-Director, Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery * Maintain a positive workplace culture that attracts, retains and motivates staff, and empowers their ability to impact decision making * Oversee clinical, research, educational and quality activities for the Heart * Provide clinical services for patients at St. Christopher's Hospital and other approved sites * Actively participate in family centered care * Facilitate and enhance community outreach and advocacy.
