ERG seeks an analyst to support our work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) protecting human health and the environment. We support various projects for federal and non-profit clients on projects such as researching the impacts of climate change, protecting and remediating groundwater, assessing the management of hazardous waste sites, protecting drinking water sources, and water reuse. The position will involve close collaboration with diverse practices across ERG and provide a myriad of opportunities for professional growth. Job location is flexible. Job Description: * Willingness to work on diverse projects: conduct literature reviews, review site-specific contaminant transport and remediation, develop fact sheets, develop charts and other visual displays for data reports * Research experience in hydrogeology * Familiarity with hazardous waste site characterization, groundwater modeling, underground injection, or remedial technologies * Data analysis programming experience * Experience working with or on topics directly affecting drinking water, water quality, wastewater, or stormwater utilities * Intermediate to advanced GIS skills Qualifications and Skills: * 0-5 years of experience in geoscience or a related scientific field with a significant hydrogeology component * Strong written communication skills * Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills * Ability to evaluate data on site geological characteristics * Applied experience with qualitative and quantitative research activities in an academic or professional setting * Facility in managing multiple ongoing tasks * Experience developing written products for technical and non-technical audiences * Bachelor's or master's degree in geosciences, chemistry, or a closely related field ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
