This is a non-benefited position responsible for planning, organizing, and hosting programs of the Library and various City-sponsored programs. Works under the direction of a Library Division Manager, Librarian, or Associate Librarian. Provides assistance in developing, implementing, and hosting programs for all ages. Performs other duties as assigned.One year of higher eduction and/or equivalent practical experience in event management preferred. Strong writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to host public events with audiences of all sizes and ages. Proven ability to manage details and organize time and resources to meet deadlines. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Driven to provide superior customer service to staff and to the public. Routinely lifts, carries and moves materials weighing 50 pounds and climb ladders. Spanish language skills preferred. The successful candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background investigation.$15.30 - $22.95 per hour depending on experience, qualification, and responsibilities.12- 18 hours per week. The schedule is flexible to accommodate a variety of scheduled programs.
