Tesla seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational efficiency of manufacturing equipment. Apply mechanical, electrical, and automation skills to maintain, repair, and optimize equipment performance. * Manage production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and requests efficiently * Diagnose and resolve equipment failures, identifying root causes and actions taken * Achieve Journeyman Level on assigned machines, handling preventative maintenance and repairs * Improve PM documents and schedules with Maintenance Supervisor and Leads * Perform major repairs and rebuilds, including occasional weekends and holidays * Utilize manufacturing systems (MES, Spares Inventory, Issue Tracking) * Collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime * Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology preferred, or 3+ years of relevant experience * Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs highly desired * Experience with Fanuc or Kuka robots is a plus * Specialization in electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining, or automation/PLC/robotics * Skilled in troubleshooting automation, conveyance, and electromechanical systems * Proficient with hand tools, portable tools, machining, and welding * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Physical Demands: * Perform physically demanding work for up to 12 hours a day * Stand, walk, and traverse uneven terrain for extended periods * Lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs., including up and down stairs * Frequently bend, lift, reach, and perform repetitive tasks * Work in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, and crouching * Climb and maintain balance on ladders or scaffolding * Follow safety protocols, including wearing PPE and adhering to site safety standards
