Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Laboratory/Technical Assistant for the Cell Biology and Neuroscience department within the School of Arts & Sciences. Among the key duties of this position are the following: * Investigates crucial functions of astrocytes in sustaining BBB integrity during health and in the context of neurodegenerative diseases. * Examines the influence of neural crest lineage on BBB characteristics and questioning whether cellular origins dictate their roles in BBB function. * Searches groundbreaking small molecules with the potential to modulate BBB permeability. * Contributes to a cutting-edge research environment that is dedicated to excellence and innovation in the field of neurobiology. Certifications/Licenses Preferred Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * General lab upkeep, ordering, animal colony management, and maintaining animal and biosafety protocols for the lab.
