Description: The Program/Student Advisor: Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate (P-OTD) is responsible for managing all aspects of the P-OTD program and providing administrative support in implementing the student fieldwork program. This includes successfully managing student recruitment, advising, enrollment management, program evaluation, and organizing and verifying documentation and student records related to fieldwork. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the Academic Fieldwork Coordinators, assisting them in the successful implementation of the student fieldwork program, which involves coordinating approximately 200 clinical and community placements annually. Assist fieldwork coordinators with managing Student Placement Agreements, student mandatory health requirements, accreditation requirements, administration of all fieldwork courses, learning management system, and fieldwork program evaluation. Responsible for monitoring and organizing student records including various documents required for fieldwork placements across multiple electronic records platforms such as Box, Formstack, Blackboard, and Exxat. Advises incoming and current students regarding health and other fieldwork requirements. Program Management: Oversee all elements of P-OTD program including admissions, logistics advising, grade management, student records, P-OTD student handbook, P-OTD field exams, practicum, and student projects, online course management, and website maintenance. Coordinate course evaluations, provide summaries to faculty, and update UIC outcomes reporting. Represent department at all college meetings regarding orientation, admissions, and graduation. Provide assistance to entry-level OTD academic advisor in areas of admissions, information sessions, and advising prospective students. Student Recruitment: Develop P-OTD student recruitment marketing materials including brochures, website and testimonials. Coordinate and help develop student recruitment plan at national and international levels. Student Advising: Primary resource and consultant for students regarding their progress in the P-OTD program and completion of all requirements. Refers students to campus and college resources as needed. Provides information on scholarships and financial resources. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned, including: Support research and scholarship. Plan and implement research related events such as conferences, training sessions, visiting scholars, and institutes. Develop and implement marketing plan for research conferences and to provide continuing education credits. Minimum Qualifications Required: * Bachelor's Degree* * Bachelor degree, additional education, training and/or work experience in a distinct academic discipline or area of specialization may be designated by the Employer. Such designations must be directly linked to the specific position description and requirements. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in higher education or administration * Two years of work experience in in higher education with experience in academic advising * Knowledge of higher education policies and available student resources. Experience using student applicant databases and course management systems. Experience working with diverse student populations. * Intermediate level skills using MS Office. * Experience with supporting student experiential learning such as clinical placements or internships * Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with prospective and current students, visitors, and external audiences. * Ability to handle a large volume of work with varying deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet deadlines.
