Position: Science Teacher Grade 8 (Biology & Science 8) Location: Danville Community Middle School Qualifications: Must hold an Indiana teaching license for science at the secondary level; Biology license preferred; or willingness to pursue Biology licensure Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare & deliver lesson plans & instructional materials that facilitate active learning. * Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment. * Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. * Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. * Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies. * Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development. * Participate in department, school, district and parent meetings.
