This role offers the opportunity to further one's academic career by conducting impactful research and inspiring the next generation of scholars through effective and innovative pedagogy. Required Education and Experience Requires a Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in area of specialty. Preferred Qualifications PhD in Geology. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of geoscience education research techniques and methods Job Duties Job Duty Conducting original supervised geoscience education research with Dr. Katherine Ryker. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Publishing original geoscience education research with Dr. Katherine Ryker. This includes collaborating on drafts of manuscripts for journals such as the Journal of Geoscience Education, In the Trenches, and the Journal of College Science Teaching. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Submitting and overseeing IRB applications, data management and analysis, and coordinating contact with study participants.
