Job Details Job Location: Highland - Highland, KS Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary Description This position is required to work from the Highland Campus in Highland, KS. SUMMARY The Webmaster serves as the primary contact for all aspects of the College's website(s), handling a range of responsibilities that may include web design and development, routine site and content maintenance, and various updates to ensure sites align with the goals and objectives of the College. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Serves as the primary contact for all aspects of the organizations website(s). * Develops and maintains internet and intranet portals, forms, and structures in accordance with the College's needs; collaborates closely with Public Relations, Human Relations, and Institutional Research. * Encourages and facilitates consistent, creative and unified web design across the College's web properties. * Collects and analyzes web analytics and similar data; identifies opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), time on site, web traffic, and other relevant metrics. * Maintains and documents ownership of College's internet domains. * Assists employees with use of college websites through one-on-one support, user guides, and training sessions. * Ensures compliances with all college policies, procedures, and ethical standards; software licenses; and applicable state and federal laws and regulations including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws. * Maintains current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development and technology. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required; coursework in digital media, web design, and/or computer programming highly preferred. Language Skills Must have good spelling, punctuation and grammar skills and excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, students, and the general public. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, students, or members of the business community or general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with general mathematical concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Related Knowledge, Abilities and Skills * Extensive knowledge of website management, analytics, design, and SEO best practices and standards. * Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the College. * Highly proficient with HTML/CSS; working knowledge of XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages. * Must have the ability to learn new computer programs as required. * Must be a self-starter and have the ability to operate without a day-to-day routine and handle a flexible schedule. * Must have a good working knowledge of generally accepted office procedures. * Must possess organizational skills to handle detailed, multiple tasks for a variety of activities and work calmly in a fast-paced office. * Excellent customer service skills required and strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. * Should have a service-oriented positive attitude toward the students, faculty, staff, and community people who interact with the College. * Should have the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships and work as a team member. Other Must have valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last five years.
