As a digital design and accessibility expert, you will continually evaluate, improve, and make recommendations for tactics and strategies that promote equity and inclusion across our websites, mobile apps, and other applications.  Your ability to work cross-functionally with varied technical and communications teams, will ensure appropriate user experience design techniques are used to deliver positive experiences, equitable outcomes, and that design solutions meet accessibility standards.  Here are some other essential duties you can expect: * Shaping and communicating agency user experience strategy and design for new services such as the Working Families Tax Credit as well as existing processes in support of tax administration.  * Coordinate with other members of the Customer Experience and Communications division as well as other divisions to identify opportunities for new or improved experiences across training events, websites, video offerings, and social media.  * Design and develop accessible, neuro-diverse, and multi-modal interactions.  * Drive research and UX practices that ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion.  * Design, execute, and analyze user research and usability activities to deliver insightful and actionable results.  * Create customer impact analysis documents to evaluate and communicate the impact of specific changes to customers and agency partners.  * Facilitate strategic, customer-centric decision making, and design thinking engagements.   Bachelor's degree in design, digital communications, market research, a related social science field (communications, marketing, graphic design, advertising, psychology etc.) or a related IT field (Human-Computer Interaction, human- centered design experience, etc.) AND 5 years experience in digital design/user experience in a professional environment  OR a combination of education and/or relevant experience. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will also possess: * Demonstrated ability to manage projects and partner with teammates and vendors. * A dedicated advocate of a user-centered approach to developing and implementing web and mobile applications. * Excellent project management, communications, and presentation skills. * Strong storytelling and data visualization skills. * Fluency in the English language. Preference may be granted to candidates that possess: * Bilingual in Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean or Russian. * A master's degree in a related field. * Experience managing user experience projects. * Experience creating videos and video content.  * Demonstrated experience or certifications in: * User experience research. * User experience design. * Cross-cultural research. * Accessible design. * Design for people with limited English proficiency. * Experience using Agile methodologies. * Equity-centered design. * Experience branding, configuring, or customizing COTS products and cloud solutions. * Web programming languages and mobile application development.  * Data analysis and presentation tools.  * Excellent writing/grammar and interpersonal communication skills. * Proven track record influencing direction and strategy with actionable insights. * High attention to detail with a focus on ensuring quality. * Strong stakeholder management skills, both for internal and external stakeholders. * Passion for public service and delivering help to those who need it most.
