Janet Bixby WHAT DEPARTMENT IS THIS IN? 5450 Lewis & Clark Work Study, Graduate School of Studies WHEN DOES THIS POSITION BEGIN AND END? 2024-10-11 * JOB PURPOSE: To foster strong lines of communication between students and the Community Dialogues mission & program To strengthen the relationship between the CD staff and trained student practitioners To provide students with consistent and meaningful opportunities to practice and develop their skills in dialogic practice and community engagement around dialogue To provide CD program with greater logistical support PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY: * Resume, uploaded * Cover letter, uploaded * Having received Community Dialogues 2-day training preferred, but not required DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serve as an ambassador for CD program and goals in LC campus community * Work with CD Director and Program Director to develop and plan Community Dialogues for the community * Outreach to various student groups to assess interests and recruit participation in CD events * Liaison with offices on campus to promote CD opportunities SCHEDULE: 4-7 hours /week; flexible scheduling RATE OF PAY: $16.00 /hr WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT: Federal or L&C Work study is required Lewis & Clark College adheres to a nondiscriminatory policy with respect to educational programs, activities, employment, and admission.
