Harbor is looking for a Director of Information Technology (IT) who is responsible for maintaining all system applications, security & networking for all subsidiary companies. Maintains positive staff relationships while completing assigned duties. Responsible for organization & management practices as applied to the analysis & evaluation of IT programs, policies & operational needs. Responsible for ongoing information management & security policies, procedures, & technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, & availability of all organizational healthcare information systems. Position is full-time. Education/Experience/Other Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or related experience. * Three years progressive IT experience or experience in a related field. * Working knowledge of database design: MS SQL Server, Access server preferred, MS Office, Network Administration: TCP/IP, File Sharing. General computer hardware & maintenance knowledge. * One year supervisory or project management experience preferred. * Above average technical, oral and written communication skills are required. * Knowledge of ODMH, ODADAS, JCAHO, or CARF certification/ accreditation requirements helpful. * Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to be deemed insurable with Harbor's vehicle insurance carrier. Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties: * Communicates supports and consults with supervisors, supervisees, and other team members through regular meetings and staffing. * Coordinates the organizational and operational activities for the IT Department including software systems, hardware, LAN and WAN communications networks, and Cloud platforms. * Develops long range plans, goals and policies and determines priority level of projects and computer system upgrades. * Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for the IT Department; identifies resource needs, recommends and implements policies and procedures. * Coordinates user-training programs for employees, demonstrates software program applications and peripheral equipment use; interacts with staff, management and committee members concerning user operational support needs. * Plans, develops, directs, and conducts computer training; prepares user training manuals and related informational materials as needed; provides consultation and technical assistance to uses on personal and centralized computer applications. * Establishes and maintains selection and performance criteria for new hardware and software acquisition; coordinates and oversees the procurement of computer hardware and software; confers with vendors; assesses products offered; recommends purchase of computer-related goods and services. * Maintains courtesy and professionalism and strong customer service skills. * Implements, manages, and enforces information security directives as mandated by HIPPA. * Leads the organization as Security Officer regarding HIPAA/HITECH/42 CFR Part 2, with responsibilities including: * Ensuring reasonable technical and physical safeguards are in place to minimize the risk of unauthorized use or disclosure of PHI * Ensuring security of patient records and other sources of Protected Health Information (PHI) * Developing contingency plans to handle anticipated threats and hazards related to the loss of access to electronic data * Participate in annual HIPAA Security Risk Analysis and development of follow up activities for improvement About Harbor: * A leading provider of mental health and substance use treatment for over 100 years * 350+ clinical staff serve over 24,000 clients across multiple locations and in the community each year * Services ranging from counseling, pharmacological management, primary care, psychological testing, case management, substance use treatment, residential services, vocational program, and more!
