Job Description Are you looking to join an established environmental planning practice with the opportunity to join a growing cultural resource team? Terracon is seeking a full-time Project Archaeologist in our Nashville, Tennessee office. The successful candidate must possess a master's degree or above, meet the Secretary of Interior Standards for an Archaeologist, and have at least five years of experience in the Eastern U.S. Must be able to work in physically demanding field conditions. Essential Functions and Duties: * Conduct fieldwork including survey, testing, and data recovery projects. * Preparing reports * Assisting with laboratory analyses * Consulting with federal and state agencies, tribal groups, and other stakeholders * Making National Register recommendations * Providing guidance and mentoring to more junior-level staff Requirements/Preferences: * Master's degree or above * Minimum of five years of experience in the Eastern U.S. * Secretary of Interior qualified as an Archaeologist * Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; ability to pass drug screening; and possess a valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable violation history * Register of Professional Archaeologist (RPA) * Trained as a Historical Archaeologist About Terracon Terracon is a 100 percent employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm comprised of more than 6,000 curious minds focused on solving engineering and technical challenges from more than 175 locations nationwide.
