Who we are looking for: The ideal candidate will be mission-driven with a desire to make a difference for families and communities served by LCS Northwest. The Role: The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) Facilitator will recruit and facilitate an advisory board comprised of local youth. The Youth Advisory Board members will receive information on how to support mental health awareness and access in their local settings. The members will provide their perspectives on the current needs of their peers to help evaluate the suitability and implementation of YAB training materials. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ● Recruit members of the YAB ● Facilitate all components of the YAB group including presenting psychoeducational materials, soliciting youth feedback, co-creating an implementation strategy for disseminating relevant materials. ● Collaborate with supervisors to select activities and psychoeducational materials that are consistent with current best-practices for trauma-informed care. ● Depending on co-facilitator availability, co-facilitate psychoeducational groups in collaboration with LCSNW's Victim Advocacy and Education Program QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Enrolled in or completed Master's degree program in clinical mental health (including counseling, social worker, marriage and family therapy) EXPERIENCE DESIRED: * Demonstrated ability to facilitate group activities with teen-aged youth EDUCATION AND TRAINING * Enrolled in or completed Master's degree program in clinical mental health (including counseling, social worker, marriage and family therapy) LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS Cleared through the Washington State Patrol or FBI to work with vulnerable populations. Able to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor or other credential through Washington State Department of Health BENEFITS: We offer a full benefits package with options for medical, vision and dental insurance. Vacation includes up to 2 weeks in the first year, with an increase up to 3 weeks in the second year and incrementally up to 5 weeks after 6 years (based on hours worked). Up to 2 ½ weeks of Sick leave for you or to take care of your immediate family (based on hours worked). 12 Paid Holidays plus 2 Floating Holidays each year.
