Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Full time Job Type Regular Compensation $55,000 - $70,000 Job Description Job Summary The Oklahoma Broadband Office is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Analyst to join our team. This role is integral in ensuring the successful deployment of broadband infrastructure projects funded through federal grants. In state travel is required. The Technical Analyst will be responsible for conducting field verifications of grant subrecipient projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, and evaluating the overall effectiveness of broadband initiatives. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities. Key Responsibilities * Field Verification: * Conduct on-site inspections of broadband infrastructure projects funded by federal grants. * Assess project implementation against grant specifications, plans, and technical requirements. * Verify the quality of installations, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with project timelines. * Technical Evaluation: * Review technical documentation, including project plans, engineering diagrams, and system configurations. * Evaluate the performance and functionality of installed broadband equipment and infrastructure. * Identify and document any discrepancies or issues in project execution. * Reporting and Documentation: * Prepare detailed reports on field verification findings, including assessments, observations, and recommendations. * Document any deviations from project plans and suggest corrective actions or improvements. * Maintain accurate records of inspections, evaluations, and communications with subrecipients. * Collaboration and Support: * Work closely with grant subrecipients, project managers, and technical teams to address issues and ensure compliance. * Provide technical guidance and support to subrecipients to help resolve challenges and improve project outcomes. * Participate in meetings and discussions to update stakeholders on project status and verification results. * Compliance and Quality Assurance: * Ensure that all field verification activities comply with state regulations, grant requirements, and industry standards. * Monitor and assess the adherence to quality assurance protocols in project execution. * Recommend best practices and improvements to enhance project delivery and performance. Qualifications * Strong understanding of broadband technologies, network architecture, and installation practices. * Experience with field inspections, technical evaluations, and compliance monitoring. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to travel extensively within the state to perform field verifications. * Proficiency in using technical tools and software for data collection and analysis Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role related to broadband, telecommunications, or infrastructure projects. * Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies * Familiarity with state and federal grant programs, regulations, and compliance requirements. * Experience working with government or public sector projects. * Knowledge of geographic information systems (GIS) and related mapping tools.
