Overview M Health Fairview is looking for a Project Specialist at our UMMC West Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN. This position will perform Project and floor maintenance duties as assigned to keep the facility orderly, attractive, clean and sanitary. This position is represented under the union SEIU. Location: UMMC West Bank, located in Minneapolis Hours: 80 hours biweekly Shift: Day Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm This position is eligible for benefits! Responsibilities/Job Description * Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in offices, hallways, common areas, and other spaces. * Furniture Handling: Move furniture before and after cleaning tasks. * Floor Care: Clean, dust, mop, strip, and wax floors. * Chemical Handling: Measure and operate chemical dispensing units, ensuring proper labeling and safety. * Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and store equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) proficiently. * Inventory Management: Keep track of floor areas and schedule cleaning and maintenance duties. * Reporting: Report maintenance issues to the supervisor. * Hazardous Waste Assistance: Assist with hazardous waste collection as requested. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Must be at least 16 years of age. Preferred Qualifications & Other Required Skills: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required. * Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.
