Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer II. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and will report to the Director - Reservoir Engineering & Corporate Reserves. This position assesses oil and gas deposits, estimates the size of a reservoir and determines how much oil and gas reserves are in the reservoir. The Reservoir Engineer runs models and performs calculations as well as assists in business and development planning to add value to the company. Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Completes quarterly reserves evaluation for asset in accordance with defined SPEE and SEC requirements * Assists the asset teams in efficient and timely development of inventory * Conducts technical evaluations to identify improvement opportunities * Performs and leads asset evaluations for trades and A&D opportunities within current operational footprint * Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor * Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimum Requirements: * Proficient in all areas of Reservoir Engineering with foundational knowledge of operations, marketing, land and geology * Experience with unconventional/resource play economics, production type curve analysis, PVT behavior, rate-transient analysis and analytical modeling * Knowledge of SEC and SPEE reserve reporting guidelines and their application * Strong working knowledge of industry economic software, preferably ARIES * Experience with IHS Harmony and/or Whitson+ Preferred: * Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines * Ability to proficiently utilize technical and administrative personnel resources * Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks with minimal supervisor's direction * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills Education & Work Experience Required Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline Preferred: * Master's degree or EIT Certification * 4-6 years related work experience, 3+ years of reservoir engineering experience preferred Ascent Benefits * Benefits start day one * Generous 401(k) * PTO based on industry or job-related experience * Tuition assistance after 1 year * Twelve paid holidays * Many volunteer opportunities * Gym reimbursement Ascent Resources provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
