Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries. Position Summary The Industrial Engineering position focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.). A Senior Professional position applies advanced knowledge of a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. Responsibilities Responsibilities: * Machine capacity analysis, delay studies, and time studies * Manpower analysis and production expectations * Project justification * Analyze and improve material flow * Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision * Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals * Supports continuous improvement/automation activities (Bekido/Koka-i watch/Gemba) * Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel (Budget, Forecasting, etc.) * Conducts cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods * Assists manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design * Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders. * Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: * BS in industrial engineering or a related field, such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering, is required * 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment * Master's degree in engineering a plus * On-site Role Other Qualifications * Experience gathering information and providing solutions in a timely manner. * Strong business writing and verbal communication (and presentation) skills * Ability to foster trusting relationships with colleagues and business areas. * Intermediate (Advanced is preferred) using Office 365 Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI. * Experience creating ad-hoc reports and ability to analyze data for management reports. * Detail oriented with strong time and project management skills. * Excellent communication (i.e., verbal and written) and presentation skills. Must be able to write clearly and concisely in English and Spanish. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to monitor compliance with policy, procedures, and processes. * Contract Management- ability to resolve contract-related issues. * Customer service oriented. * Results-oriented with sound decision-making ability. * Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude. * Team player, comfortable with fast-paced, changing environment and ambiguity. * Ability to work independently. Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
