Description The Weld County Public Health & Environment has a paid, part-time internship available. This position will be supporting the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, Clinical Services program to perform outreach activities in Weld County. The primary goal of this position is to support Clinical Services as we expand outreach services in Weld County and develop new partnerships in our community in anticipation of our new mobile medical unit coming in 2025. This position will provide clinical support to our staff so that we can expand our outreach efforts in the summer months when opportunities are most prevalent. Ideal candidate traits: The ideal candidate will be working toward their Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have a specialized interest in public health nursing, rural health, and clinical services. The candidate will show above average communication skills, a passion for public health clinical services, and an understanding of cultural humility. Their efforts and motives will align with the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment's mission and vision. Candidate will work part-time over a period of 8-10 weeks starting in May, to complete assigned tasks and projects by August 2024. Pay rate: $25 per hour
