As the Safety Coordinator (reporting to Corporate Safety Manager), your focus will be to ensure the implementation of the safety programs, provide training, identify risks and provide solutions to ensure the successful and safe execution of various construction projects.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists in the overall implementation of the company's Safety program.
- Participates in pre-construction and pre-installation meetings.
- Identify project/task safety needs and risks.
- Coordinate with project teams to create site-specific safety plans.
- Applies knowledge of OSHA/WISHA regulations to audit field operations for compliance.
- Respond to incident and injuries during work hours and emergencies after work hours.
- Responsible for providing, scheduling, and tracking safety related training.
- Establish working rapport and effective communications with crew, subcontractors, and suppliers and able to proactively determine solutions to problems in areas of responsibility.
Education and/or Experience
- 1 to 5 years of experience in construction or related industry with safety related responsibilities.
- Bachelor's Degree
- ASP, CHST or STSC is a huge plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation - to $85,000 annual salary
- Annual Bonus; depends upon individual and company performance.
