The Lodge Food & Beverage Manager is tasked with cultivating a World Class Customer Service experience for guests and team members. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader that is focused on the overall success of The Lodge and Seed & Social. In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, this position will oversee the new in-house dining program including the development of overall vision, content creation, and service standards.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversee the daily food and beverage operations. Work through details with Chefs on all meals; custom menu requests, seasonal offerings, table setup, buffet/plated meal presentation, dietary restrictions, sustainable kitchen initiatives, etc. Lead reviews with food & beverage team to confirm all timelines, special requests, allergy, and VIP notes between FOH and BOH kitchen staff align. Build out the food & beverage content, reports, tracking and trends via Opera Cloud. Address any food and beverage guest complaints in a timely and professional manner. Continue to build and create catering solutions with Chefs to meet Seed & Social standards. Place orders of all non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, to-go packaging, and serve ware. Manage all invoicing of purchases. Collaborate with Events Team and Kitchen Team on daily processes, upcoming events, and day of implementation. Interview, hire, train, and evaluate food & beverage team members, ensuring consistent delivery of the brand experience. Set schedules of staff based on dining needs. Oversee team members' daily tasks. Perform reviews and coordinate standard check ins with team members. Collaborate with General Manager and Chefs to develop the new dining program at The Lodge. Create and implement SOP's, service standards, and safety procedures for the new food & beverage program. Educate our in-house team members and guests on our local suppliers and techniques to ensure our mission of sustainability. Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Years of Related Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in the Food & Beverage Industry as well as a minimum of 2 years' experience in a kitchen management or leadership role.
Licenses/Certifications
:
Must be able to obtain your World Class Customer Service Certification as well as ServSafe certification within the first 90 days.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Opera Cloud Knowledge: Highly Preferred Canva Knowledge: Highly Preferred Ability to interpret financial data into an operational plan, manage budgets and achieve financial goals. Understand the importance of being thorough, detail-oriented, and committed to providing world class customer service. Flexibility in new circumstances as they arise. Collaborative Positive attitude High sense of urgency Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects on different timelines. Ability to work with minimal direction. Excellent follow-through skills and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to consistently go above and beyond with outside-the-box thinking
