Riverchase Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is Florida's largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast,offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care, and radiation oncology. Our team immediately needs a Histology Transcriptionist looking for a career in Dermatology. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and able to multi-task. Our team members provide support with filing, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, registration, and patient referrals by performing the following duties: RESPONSIBILITIES * Transcribe data from medical documents into specific templates promptly. * Checks transcription for accuracy of medical terminology, patient data, and spelling prior to releasing medical notes, letters, etc. * Assisting pathologists with coding cases * Answering phones and filing requisitions * When available, send significant results and STAT case reports to the clinical care team. * Adjusts work schedule to comply with provider's schedules and workload * Responsible for remaining familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within dermatology, plastics, and histology. * Work with lab and office staff during downtime/offline events * other duties as assigned We offer competitive salaries and benefits: * Medical, Dental, and Vision available after 30 days of hire * Short-term disability and life insurance, and many ancillary options. * 401k available after 90 days of hire * Excellent growth and advancement opportunities POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK * Full-Time * Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5 pm LOCATION - Ft. Myers QUALIFICATIONS Education - This position requires completion of at least a High School Degree or equivalent, with added coursework in Medical Terminology or Certification in Medical Transcription Experience - 2 years of related work experience; medical transcription preferred Communication - Excellent oral and written communication skills Work Style - Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed. Ability to analyze and interpret information and interact and decipher information telephonically and electronically.
