Posting Number 20112948 Position Title Video Coordinator FTE 1.0 Position Type Staff Department Athletic Video Position Summary Information Job Summary/Basic Function About This Role: The Video Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the sports video operations for the men's basketball program. This includes film exchange, video capture, editing, production, equipment maintenance and related support for coaches and student-athletes' use, along with any other duties as assigned. What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities: * Assist coaches with scouting and game preparation, player/team analysis, individual player evaluations and recording and editing team-specific or event highlights. * Performs the filming and editing of practices and games for men's basketball. * Coordinate all film exchange with opponents. * Responsible for the inventory, maintenance, repairs, and coordination of all use of video equipment for men's basketball. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men's Basketball Coach. Key Competencies: * Demonstrated proficiency with video editing software. * Effective communication, both written and oral. * Ability to work with various groups of student-athletes, coaches & staff. * Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. * Exceptionally strong organizational skills. * Highly proficient with current technology and trends. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. * Strict adherence to established NCAA, Western Athletic Conference, Texas State University System, and Lamar University rules and regulations required. A violation of these rules and regulations can lead to disciplinary action including termination. Physical Requirement: * This position required sitting and standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 25 pounds while performing the essential functions as described within the essential job functions.
