Job Summary The Field Director/Assistant/Associate Professor will work under the supervision and direction of the Associate Dean and will provide leadership in program design and administration of the Field Education Program. Job Duties & Responsibilities The Field Director will be responsible for ensuring rigorous academic and experiential learning and compliance with CSWE field education standards.In collaboration with the MSW Program Director, the BSW Program Director and other faculty members, the Field Director will lead the Field Education program in the ongoing development of a robust network of field placement opportunities across system levels (micro, mezzo and macro) appropriate for generalist and advanced generalist programs, the assessment of field placement learning outcomes, and advising and mentoring students in relationship to field.The Director of Field Education will identify and recruit community agencies as field placements sites, certify those sites, assign students to those sites, develop field seminars and orientation and coordinate with the Associate Dean regarding curriculum and assessment activities.The Field Director will also participate in the accreditation process, and engage in scholarship and service to the program, school, University, and the social work profession.The faculty member is expected to be capable of teaching in at least two of the following areas: Human Behavior and the Social Environment, Social Work Research/Statistics, Social Work Practice and Social Welfare Policy.The Field Director must participate in the advising of students regarding curriculum and career matters, and model professional and scholarly behavior. Qualifications Minimum:An MSW from a CSWE accredited program and a minimum of five (5) years post Master's social work experience An LMSW or LCSW and be in good standingA minimum of one (1) year of relevant and successful administrative/leadership experience, such as agency director or program coordinator or clinical supervisor in a social agencyExperience as a field instructor or agency supervisor Knowledge current accreditation standards (2022 EPAS)Strong knowledge, skills, and experience in working with diverse students and client/patient populationsA sincere desire for personal growth and development as an educator, including teaching, scholarship, and service throughout one's careerThe ability to work as a team with administrators, fellow faculty, staff, and studentsOnline pedagogy and interest and skills for the development of online/hybrid social work coursesPreferred:An earned doctorate in social work or closely related field Supplemental Information Applications without the following will not be considered complete.Cover LetterResumeTranscript(s) if applicableCurriculum Vitae if applicable Review of applications will begin April 18th, 2024 and continue until position is filled.
