Production Engineer Responsibilities * Participate in the design, implementation and ongoing coordination of major site applications and subsystems. Own back-end services like Hadoop data warehouses, front-end services like Messenger and Newsfeed, infrastructure components like Memcache infrastructure, and everything in between. Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug difficult problems live, on some of the largest and most complex systems in the world. Work together with relevant engineering teams, sharing an on-call rotation for the reliability of service. Partner alongside the best engineers in the industry. Work on code and systems that will be in production and used by millions of users all around the world. Ensure that Facebook's services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. Minimum Qualifications * Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 6 months of experience involving the following: 1. High concurrency computing 2. Advanced data structure and operating systems 3. Code version control, debugging, triaging complex problems 4. Full stack web development: frontend/backend/database and 5. DevOps: CI/CD pipelines.
