Overview This is an intern level maintenance and operations position. Perform basic to routine skill level work under moderate supervision/oversight, in order to clean, check, inspect, repair, maintain, operate and install various pieces of equipment. Responsibilities * Perform maintenance activities as required to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot various power plant equipment. * Learn the proper use of hand tools, power tools, hoist, drill presses, grinders, and other tools and equipment pertaining to the work. * Assist employees in carrying out work assignments. * Clean equipment undergoing repairs, handle and move material, supplies and equipment in connection with the work and work area. * Be able to learn to make and read simple drawings and sketches. * Prepare and take the Edison Electrical Institute (EEI) POSS/MASS test measuring job responsive aptitude, ability to retain knowledge, and problem solving skills. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a technical field.
