Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories seeks a Chemical Engineer to support etching, plating, surface treatment, or water recycling in our brand-new printed circuit board factory. We are considering candidates at various experience levels, from new graduates to those with more experience. In this onsite position, you will work with various chemical processes involved in printed circuit board manufacturing and collaborate with an energetic team to produce high-quality printed circuit boards. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, is highly disciplined, and works well in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm. As a Chemical Engineer, a typical day might include the following: * Providing general engineering support, troubleshooting of multiple chemical manufacturing processes, and providing process owner-level support for at least one process. * Specifying, developing, justifying, implementing, and sustaining chemical equipment, processes, and materials to improve safety, quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity of chemical manufacturing processes in accordance with strategic objectives. * Performing tests and applying statistical problem solving to identify root cause, evaluating new equipment, processes, and process improvement activities of chemical manufacturing processes. * Monitoring and analyzing data from processes and experiments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of chemical processes and equipment. * Conducting research to develop new chemical and manufacturing processes and/or equipment, plant and equipment layout, and providing recommendations to management. This job might be for you if: * You have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. * You have 2 years' experience in chemical manufacturing processes. * You have demonstrated the ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly. * You have exceptional writing, documentation, and speaking skills. * You can collaborate and work across functions, groups, divisions, and companies. * You have knowledge of statistics as applied to process capability measurements. * You can train technical and non-technical staff. Location Moscow, ID - This position is located in SEL's state of the art Printed Circuit Board factory in Moscow, ID. Pay Range Data: Associate Chemical Engineer, $60,800 - $95,000. Chemical Engineer, $69,100 - $108,100. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
