Who you are: The Compensation Analyst administers the compensation program ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity are maintained. This position researches market data and reviews trends to provide recommendations. The Analyst serves as a subject matter expert to department managers and all team members related to compensation programs, pay policies, and practices. The Analyst performs job analysis using various methods to develop job descriptions and participates in position evaluation and classification. The Analyst determines appropriate base salaries for external candidates and internal transfers. The Analyst completes salary surveys, performs market analysis to ensure the pay structure is competitive in the external market, and recommends structure adjustments and position grade changes. The Analyst aids in the administration of the annual pay increase cycle including the annual evaluation process in our performance review system. What you will do: * Support compensation programs, including base pay administration, market pricing, benchmark analysis, evaluation of salary grades/ranges, position reclassifications, and other compensation related actions. * Conduct analyses and studies to support management in developing and administering effective compensation programs. * Provide recommendations for base compensation for new hires, promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and other compensation actions utilizing best practices and compensation methodology. * Complete annual compensation surveys to obtain external market data and coordinate with survey firms in response to follow-up inquiries. * Bring an analytical approach to problem-solving and ground your solutions in data. * Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position as well as FLSA classifications. * Support year-end compensation planning processes. * Identify and recommend competitive solutions to compensation issues, while educating HR Business Partners on compensation philosophy and practice. * Partner with external consultant for annual review of job architecture and salary structures. * Maintain compliance by understanding and implementing state and federal wage requirements, such as minimum wage increases. What you need: * Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or finance; 3 - 5 years of previous experience in compensation; or a combination of education and experience. * Highly organized and great at multi-tasking; ability to work in a high-volume environment and get things done with accuracy and efficiency in a timely manner. * Ability to work well independently but also enjoy working with a highly collaborative team. * Strong working knowledge of Excel including intermediate-level use of formulas/pivot tables * Strong understanding of HR functions and processes. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. * Experience utilizing Workday or similar HRIS. * Professional and clear written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of compensation practices and trends, and desire to advance in the field. Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $80,00 - $90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
