Primary Functions: This internship is designed to introduce candidates to a career as a mechanical, electrical, or plumbing assistant project manager. Interns will assist Brandt project managers and fellow interns on assigned tasks as required. Key Responsibilities: Brandt Summer Internship Program Brandt offers an engaging and meaningful 10-week internship program to learn and expand your capabilities in the construction industry. Gain hands-on, real-world experience and be part of a team that empowers you to learn, participate, and lead. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Complete the competency checklist of assigned responsibilities such as document control, job planner, task hazard analysis, purchase orders, and attending BIM coordination meetings. * Under a mentor's guidance, develop and complete three SMART goals that align with the job responsibilities. * Complete ask the expert interviews that give exposure to departments such as engineering, safety, virtual design and construction, and preconstruction. * Attend required internship program events, jobsite tours, and training. * Communicate with team members, intern program lead, mentor, and other departments as needed. * Present achievements and knowledge learned to departmental leads and executive leadership at the summer's conclusion. * Perform additional assignments as requested/needed. Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience: * Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. * Pursuing a bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, or a related degree. * Entering sophomore, junior, or senior year of applicable degree. * 0-3 years of experience in a related field. * Punctuality and reliability are a must. * Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.
