Position Description ABC Companies' nine (9) world-class facilities routinely deliver service excellence and feature the latest diagnostic tools and state-of-the-art fabrication systems designed to cover a comprehensive range of transit bus, motorcoach and RV service and repair. In addition to a full line of diesel and gas commercial vehicle products ranging from vans to luxury buses, ABC is also a leader in fully electric commercial vehicles. Job Title: Regional Product Support Manager (Northeast) Reports to: Technician Services Manager Scope: The Regional Product Support Manager is responsible for providing technical support, information, and training for ABC customers throughout the Northeast states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, East New York, Rhode Island, and Northeast Pennsylvania). The ideal candidate will be located in New York. Major Areas of Responsibility: * Provide technical support, information, and training for customers in assigned region. * Travel to new and current customer locations for the purpose of product support and technical training. * Serve as a troubleshooter and technical advisor for questions, issues and warranty concerns related to Van Hool, Eberspächer & other ABC products. * Investigate, analyze, and report conclusions and recommendations in response to customer questions and concerns related to Van Hool, Eberspächer & other ABC products in a timely manner. Also report any and all customer suggestions and comments. * Lead and coordinate regular (annual, quarterly or as required) training for customers within assigned region. * Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, campaigns, and other service work for ABC product offerings as directed. * Participate in and successfully complete annual training requirements on all aspects of Van Hool, Eberspächer and other ABC products. * Complete customer visits according to the prescribed schedule to provide information, technical support and assistance for new and existing Van Hool, Eberspächer, and ABC customers. Requirements: * Formal training or experience, troubleshooting and diagnostics of all major coach systems including HVAC and High Voltage AC and DC electrical systems. * Familiarity with electrical drawings, commissioning software, and general EV (Electric Vehicle) architecture. * Mechanical background or experience with commercial vehicles and High Voltage systems. * Familiarity with Cummins, Detroit, Allison, Eberspächer, Carrier, High Voltage (HV) Inverters. * Must have some shop or fleet management experience. * Must have proficient time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus. * Good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames and working with customers, vendors, and coach builders. * Requires travel on a regular basis. Education & Experience: * High School Diploma or College degree. Preferably in transportation, Industrial, Electrical, Engineering is desired. * Preferred 5 years' experience in the transportation or electric vehicle fields. * Electrical and engineering technology experience are required. * Field service background is desired. Physical Demands: * Frequently moves equipment, supplies, etc. up to 50 pounds * Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of the time * Frequently moves about to other locations/offices This job description is subject to change at any time.
