The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Forward Air & Omni Logistics will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving the company's commercial strategy and leading its sales, marketing, and customer experience efforts. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, who can identify growth opportunities, foster strong client relationships, and position the company as a leader in the market. Specific responsibilities include: Strategic Leadership: * Develop and implement the commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion. * Align commercial objectives with the company's overall business goals and long-term vision. * Collaborate with other executives to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth and profitability. Sales Management: * Oversee the sales team, setting performance targets and ensuring the execution of sales strategies. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the company's client base across different regions and industries. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Marketing & Branding: * Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and market presence. * Ensure the brand's messaging is consistent and resonates with target audiences across all channels and products. * Monitor market trends and competitors, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Customer Experience: * Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that all commercial activities are aligned with client needs and expectations. * Oversee the development and implementation of customer experience initiatives that drive loyalty and retention. * Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the customer experience based on client insights. Revenue Optimization: * Drive the growth of top-line revenue through the development of pricing strategies, product offerings, and service expansions. * Champion sales generation and pipeline management. Ensure aggressive management of the backend sales process by developing leads, winning business, and re-invigorating the pipeline with new leads. * Analyze market data and customer insights to optimize revenue streams and maximize profitability. Team Leadership & Development: * Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. * Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages new ideas and approaches. * Develop and motivate the commercial leadership team to advance employee engagement and develop high-performing teams. In addition, the candidate for this position should possess the following: * Minimum of 10-15 years of senior leadership experience in commercial roles, specifically within logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries. * Deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, trends, and opportunities. * Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful commercial strategies that drive revenue growth. * Proven ability to lead and scale sales, marketing, and customer service teams, preferably in a global or multi-national context. * Extensive experience in leading sales and marketing functions with a focus on business development, market expansion, and customer acquisition. * Ability to leverage marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and market positioning. * Experience in building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders. * Track record of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and retention. * Strong understanding of financial principles with the ability to develop and manage budgets, forecast revenue, and optimize profitability. * Experience in pricing strategy, revenue optimization, and cost management. * Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams. * Experience in fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics or a related field; MBA and/or equivalent preferred. * Ability to travel frequently.
