We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer in Azure Cosmos DB, Microsoft's next generation globally distributed, elastic scale, multi-model cloud database service - designed to enable developers to build planet scale applications. Azure Cosmos DB allows you to elastically scale both throughput and storage across any number of geographical regions with tunable consistency while providing blazing fast read/write performance backed by enterprise grade SLAs. Realizing Cosmos DB benefits demands closer integration with Cosmos DB distributed protocols in critical performance demanding application environments. You will be developing high performance, complex frameworks and libraries abstracting Cosmos DB distributed protocols which will be used by thousands of our customers across the globe in a highly demanding environment across many language runtimes. Required/Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python * OR equivalent experience. Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Preferred/Additional Qualifications * Familiarity with a NoSQL Database such as Cassandra, MongoDB or DynamoDB * Experience with Distributed Systems, AWS, Azure Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
