The Career Coach & Internship Coordinator will be responsible for managing the college's non-credit internship programming and assisting academic programs with facilitating internship opportunities between employers and students. This position is also responsible for career coaching, providing one-on-one guidance to students on career planning, job search strategies, and professional development. As a staff member at LLCC, you can look forward to 23 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and starting with 15 vacation days per year. The person hired into this position will be placed within this range based on education, training, experience, and skills. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree OR extensive experience in career development, human resources, workforce development or similar work. * Minimum of two years experience in career development, human resources, career coaching, or workforce development. * Extensive software skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and technical ability to operate the student scheduling system and customer relationship management system. * Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience that includes both employers and students. * Ability to navigate conflict and think strategically and creatively toward win-win outcomes. * Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen. Preferred Qualifications * Ability to use database systems. Yes Description of Job Duty In collaboration with the AVP, Business Relations, serve as the point of contact for employers looking to establish or promote internship opportunities with students and alumni. Yes Description of Job Duty Serve as a support to academic programs and faculty to help identify internship opportunities for students that align with coursework and/or program of study. Essential Duty? Yes Description of Job Duty Support the Assistant Director, Career Center with the Illinois Cooperative Work Study Grant by helping students find cooperative work experiences. Essential Duty? Yes Description of Job Duty Assist in the college planning and assessment program by developing annual work unit objectives that impact long-range priority goals. Essential Duty?
